In 2011 Dara, a member of the FeMaidens, was awarded the Entrepreneurship Award for her excellent Business Plan that was submitted to the judges at the NYC regionals. The Entrepreneurship award, sponsored by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, is awarded to a team who displays exceptional "entrepreneurial enthusiasm and vital business skills to ensure a self sustainable program". With a clear idea of how our team would be managed and driven to meet our aims, a comprehensive business plan is vital for planning out the longevity of a team. Our business plan was chosen because of how our team showed an adept ability at defining, managing, and reaching team objectives.
