Department Directors
The department directors collaborate to ensure that plans are executed efficiently and smoothly within their department and in the team. They define goals, set deadlines, organize events, and make sure that everything is completed in a timely fashion.
Sonia Senior '13 Captain
Sonia joined the robotics team during her freshman year after she saw what a positive influence it had on her brother during his high school years. She enjoys reading Harry Potter, watching Tim Burton movies, and spending time with friends and family. Over the last few months, she has become very close with her teammates and considers them her extended family.
Marsha Junior '14 Co-Captain
Marsha joined the robotics team during her freshman year.
Amy Senior '13 Head of Construction
Amy is starting her fourth and final (No! T_T) year on the team. She can't wait to find out what the new game will be, but knows that it'll result in a crazy build season like it does every year. Amy loves reading (Harry Potter, anyone?), listening to music, and having tons of fun with her friends and teammates. After being on this team for so long, Amy isn't sure she wants to leave (*hint hint*).
Jamie Senior '13 Head of Public Relations
Jamie is in her final year of high school. She's an avid fan of K-Pop, enjoys writing or reading fiction, constantly watches politics or movies, and tries to listen to music at any available chance.
Juliet Senior '13 Head of Programming
Juliet is in her third year on the FeMaidens - and joining was one of the best decisions she has ever made in her entire life. She was accepted to Carnegie Mellon University's engineering school and will study Electrical and Computer Engineering next fall, and she is thrilled by this. She hopes, in her last year as head programmer, to improve the programming department as much as she can and set it up for continued success in the future.
Nadya Junior '14 Head of Electronics
Nadya is currently a junior. She has loved robotics for as long as she can remember, and when she saw that Bronx Science had a robotics team, she immediately wanted to join. Although she joined only to learn more about programming, she ended up studying all other facets of robot-building. In her free time, Nadya likes to explore all mediums of crafts from crocheting to sketching.
